I loved this sweet and unconventional romance! When Evan's girlfriend shows up and tells him she's pregnant and doesn't want to keep the baby, he steps up and asks for full custody. Evan isn't prepared to be a single father, he really knows nothing about kids and everything he's going to need for his baby. All he knows is that he already loves his unborn child and will do whatever he has to so that he can give his baby a good life. McKinley is Evan's best friend Aaron's little sister. She just moved back to town after completing her degree and when Evan tells her about the baby, she offers to help him prepare for the baby. I loved the connection between Evan and Kinley. I loved both these characters but especially Evan and how he felt about his child. This was incredibly sweet and romantic. There wasn't a lot of angst in this story but there was just enough to keep in interesting. I really loved this book and the characters and I really hope Aaron is going to get his own story too! I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy single-parent or best friends sister type romance!

I was pleasantly surprised this book was so much more than I thought it would be. The cover makes you think it's going to be maybe a little more on the insta-love and hot, sweaty sex but this is a full-on, falling into real love, superbly paced, I can see this happening, love story. I melted in so many places throughout this story with all the nervous anxiety about becoming a new parent and those first sleepless, crazy weeks of bringing a newborn home. The pacing was perfection as we deeply got to know the h/H and watched as they developed a true, lasting, meaningful, deep connection with each other. The attraction was there but this story was about building trust and a life with someone you respect and know you can count on. Was is deep? Yes. But it was also sweet and funny and lovely and sexy. Their families were a great addition and and loved all their interactions. And the true friendship between these two guys. No ridiculous 'dont touch my sister' stuff but a real bond between these guys and Aaron knowing his friend is the best man he knows. I loved how it played out and I live how smart, strong, capable, honest and giving she is. I'm so glad I read this, I'd recommend this book to anyone - it just has all the feels!
I liked the premise of the story and the main characters were definitely likable, but a lot of the issues were very frustrating.

I did find that the thoughts they had about Misty were somewhat shaming. I mean she chose to carry the baby to term for him and I found that admirable. I also felt like she was severely depressed throughout the pregnancy and all Evan could focus on is how she wasn’t taking care of herself for the baby. Listening to them describe Misty throughout the pregnancy I feared she was going to commit suicide. I wish Evan or the Doctor would have addressed the issue of her depression.

The main characters mostly stood in their own way of happiness by not trusting the other with how they really felt and that got very frustrating after a while.
I LOVE KAYLEE RYAN!!! After reading this book Kaylee has become one of my favorite authors. Not only do I know that her books will be amazing with a great plot line, a beautiful romance and a love story that will suck you in. I can reread this (and others) so many times and still love it each time! Evan is AMAZING! How many men find out their girlfriend/friend with benefit is pregnant and he drops everything and does everything to make sure that his baby is taken care of! He is so worried about everything that it is so sweet! Then Kinley is like a chick that I aspire to be, a strong independent woman who just gives her love without expecting anything in return. I love how their love story builds - they have known each other their whole life but being put into this situation it brings about a new viewpoint for both of them. I just love their dynamic together and let me just say was when the baby was about to be born and Evan was so so worried about Kinley and Kinley was so worried about Evan I thought it was just beautiful and perfect. I literally cannot but into words just how much I love this book, this relationship and the people in this story. I love that the characters aren’t perfect but vulnerable and down to earth and people that I would love to have in my life. *Please God send an Evan to me* Another great thing is that I would recommend this story to anyone and everyone.
